Jackson and Elizabeth’s love story began in June 2023 when they connected on a dating app and quickly discovered something special. They matched on a Monday while Jackson was sitting in an airport, about to leave for a two-week work trip to New Mexico. Their connection sparked immediately, but they had to wait until his return to meet in person. As fate would have it, the day they matched was also just four weeks before Elizabeth began medical school and prepared to move to Columbia, South Carolina — hardly the easiest timing for a new relationship.

When Jackson returned, they finally had their first date, where he cooked Elizabeth a delicious dinner — an early sign (and a definite bonus!) of what was to come. From that very first evening, they both felt something special and knew they were at the beginning of a beautiful journey together.

Even with Elizabeth’s move to Columbia shortly after, they never doubted their ability to make things work. Jackson has been a constant source of support throughout her time in medical school, always encouraging her as she pursues her dream of becoming a physician. Looking back, they can see that from the very first date, they were building toward this moment.

Now, after all these wonderful years, they are so excited to say “I do” on May 1, 2027.
